RP-1 Improvement Projects

Construction includes work in three areas. RP-1 three phase digestion system improvements include furnishing, delivering and installing a complete and operatiing digester and manure sludge transfer system for digesters 1-7 consisting of variable speed progressive cavity pumps and related piping system, elevated structural steel pipe rack, control system and instrumentation electrical work, testing and turning over a complete and operating slduge transfer and recirculation system.

TP-1 modifications consists of a new chemical mixer at the new effluent structure including control panel, piping and appurtenances and modifications to existing structure, new chemical mixer at old effluent structure including control panel, piping and modifications to existing structure, new sodium bisulfate diffuser at the dechlorination channel, new flow meter on the 30 inch Prado Outfall pipe and electrical and instrumentation.

RP-1 high pressure gas pipeline replacement consists of the construction of two eight inch buried high density plyethylene pipelines approximately 750 feet in length and two eight inch above ground steel high pressure gas pipelines approximately 1000 feet in length and replacement of associated valves and fittings and condensate traps at Regional Plant 1.
