| In March
of 2006, Stanek Constructors proudly announced the opening
of a new office in Escondido, California, expanding
our territory to encompass the western states of California,
Arizona and Nevada.
Under the leadership of George Foote, the office initially
opened its doors for business with a handpicked, highly
motivated staff of four, and began aggressively bidding
work in southern California. Although initial
plans were to build $5 million of work in the first
year, our emerging presence in the region surpassed
our projections, and an increase in bonding capability
was soon required. The California Division presently
oversees four major projects, totaling $23 million,
in San Luis Obispo, Ontario, Lake Elsinore, and San
Clemente. The 1,000 square feet of office space
leased was outgrown within 6 months, and we acquired
the adjoining offices, doubling the size of the office.
At present, we employ ten outstanding salaried employees,
one division manager, one project manager, five superintendents,
two project engineers, and one accounting clerk—with
experience ranging from two to twenty-one years in treatment
plant construction. On site, we have approximately
30 highly valued hourly employees—pipe fitters,
equipment operators, carpenters, laborers, iron workers,
and cement finishers .
The office is centrally situated to the current projects,
and is conveniently located only 30 minutes from the
coastline of the Pacific Ocean, boasting world class
surfing, fishing, and perfect for a leisurely stroll
on the beach. It is a mere 10 minutes from the
famous Wild Animal Park, and a short 30 minutes from
the heart of downtown San Diego, with its rich and varied
cultural activities and water sports.
The California Division is pleased to offer a cohesive
work environment, clear leadership, job satisfaction
in a team setting, personal professional growth leading
to career advancement, and unparalleled quality of life
to individuals who join the Stanek family of employees.
